Dell vostro
I bought a Dell Vostro 1000. The most basic model they had. I like it so far. It came with Windows Vista installed on it and I had to turn off a bunch of default loaded programs. I set up my ruby programming environment and made it look like windows 98. I wonder how many people use the "classic view" because its what they have used for so long.
Anyway, you should not buy the Vostro to when any One Up-ing contest. Its not shinny with a lot of bells and whistles. Then again that is why the laptop is so cheap. The only think I wish it had was a little mouse nub in the key board. I have to get use to using the touch pad.
